We had been hearing about this place for quite some time and decided to make the small trek (about 25 minutes) from Newark to Thornville late this morning. What a great little “pit stop!” The service was absolutely wonderful, and the other patrons were super nice (which is great considering that it’s a small place and you sit pretty close to one another!). One of us ordered breakfast and the other two ordered lunch, and we were all very pleased. Down-home cooking with daily specials, and you can tell they take pride in their offerings. Super reasonable price, around 30 for three of us. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in for breakfast. It was perfect timing as they were not too busy. Checked the menu, and daily specials went with the macaroni salad, which was delicious. Ordered the Belgium waffle eggs meat and toast with an omelet plus dessert. Which was amazing also and changes, so there is always something new. Would definitely recommend it. Coming back for the biscuits and gravy key is to show up early. It's a well-known favorite that sells out, so you know it's gotta be good!!!!

Shannon's Pit Stop was great! We stayed the weekend in Logan, Ohio and rented a cabin and on our way home Sunday morning we decided it was just easier to stop and get breakfast. The prices were great, definitely the traditional small diner prices and the food was fresh and hot. I'm always a fan of breakfast burritos and they had their version, The Bubba Special. My husband had the steak and eggs. The steak wasn't 5 star restaurant quality or anything, but it was still great. They were quick to refill our coffees and there wasn't any waiting to get a seat. They also had a drive thru window and they do call-ins/ take-out orders. Friendly staff. Definitely a great stop to end our weekend getaway and give us enough energy for the drive home.

First time eating there since it had been a bar and grill a few years ago. Breakfast was great. No complaints at all. Everyone in our group left full and happy. I will say we were told if you want a breakfast dish that has gravy, get there before 10 am. We will be returning as our new local breakfast spot.
